  • Really digging our recent solar uograde. Back when we started, we had 4 100w panels and a 30a pwm controller. Now we have 6 100w panels and a 40a mppt controller. The panels went from a single parallel chain to 2 parallel chains of 3 panels in series each. We have had constant rain and cold weather for the last few days but there diesel heater is doing a great job of keeping us warm and the solar system is keeping it batteries plenty full. For a 12v battery bank, @renogysolar claims a max of 520w, but on this overcast day it's claiming to be passing even higher. #skoolie #skoolieplanet #skoolienation #solar #diy #offgrid

  • Did some boondocking and fishing at Beaver Lake in MO this weekend. It was a free primitive campsite that was not really bus friendly but we made it work. Pulled out our inflatable dinghy on the lake but the fish weren't really biting.   • Ok after to many dramatic events involving feline escape artists, I went ahead and installed a lock for our entry door. I was hoping to find a more elegant solution but after having the lock for a few months and not finding a better solution, today I installed it as well as it can be installed.
